This blog is an anecdotal how-to guide to photo production.
I’m a German born, New York based photographer working in advertising, editorial and stock as well as on my own personal projects. While working in these fields I’ve learned to produce photo shoots on vastly different budgets and under very different circumstances.
I’m also always interested in how other creative people work. What is their routine? How do they kick start the creative process if inspiration doesn’t want to make out? What are the tools of their trade? Nikon? Canon? Medium Format? Large format pinhole daguerrotype thingi?
My hope for this blog is that it will become a forum for photographers and other “industry” people to share some of their working methods and secrets in producing great photography, and that it can be used for learning and inspiration by all of us….. and for shameless self promotion by me.
Last but not least some of these shoots have some good stories behind them and it would be a shame if they’d go untold.
Cheers.
